The Humewood Hotel

Humewood Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Nelson Mandela Bay. Originally known as the Humewood Mansions, the hotel was erected in 1920. Much of the history of the hotel remains unknown, however internet research reveals that the hotel initially consisted of the middle block and the two side wings were added at a later date, 1921 and 1925 respectively.

After being owned by the same family for three generations, the hotel was sold and in 2022 the new Humewood Hotel opened its doors. While modern touches were added over its hundred-year existence, the hotel retains its charm and character.
